In the field of thermal separation technology, evaporation devices are widely used for liquid concentration. In many cases, the concentrated liquid, which can be pumped, is the desired product. But sometimes, in the case of solvent recovery, volatile components are also required products.
The key requirements of evaporation technology are to maintain a constant liquid quality and avoid product damage during the evaporation process. This requires the liquid to stay at the lowest boiling temperature for the shortest possible time, with minimal space, easy equipment operation, gentle evaporation of the liquid, and economical operation.
Design: Vertical shell and tube heat exchanger with side mounted centrifugal separator
Operating principle: The liquid that needs to be concentrated enters the top of the heater and is evenly distributed through a porous baffle system, forming a thin film along the inner wall of the heating tube and flowing downwards. Due to the heating outside the tube, the liquid film inside the tube begins to boil and partially evaporate. The downward movement of the liquid film is due to gravity, and then steam is continuously generated inside the tube. The downward flowing steam drives the liquid film to accelerate its downward movement. In the centrifugal separator located at the bottom and downstream of the tube, the remaining liquid and vapor are separated. In order to ensure the functionality of the evaporator, all heating surfaces and the lower area of the heating tube must be thoroughly and uniformly wetted to prevent local dry walls, which can lead to serious crust formation.
Features: Excellent product quality; High efficiency; Simple process control and automation; Flexible operation.
Application scope: The processing capacity can reach 100 tons/hour, and the required land area is relatively small; Especially suitable for temperature sensitive materials; Suitable for solutions containing only a small amount of solids.
Falling film evaporator is applied in pharmaceuticals, food, chemical industry, light industry, dairy products, fruit juice, biotechnology, etc
